May First Kidz

The end of the school year is upon us, and that means that AWANA has also ended for the 2025-2026 school year. This year, 80 kids in the Sparks and TNT clubs completed
their handbooks. That is an amazing testimony of scripture memorized and seeds
planted in each of their hearts!

During this year’s AWARD ceremony, a senior gave their testimony of the impact that
learning scripture as a child has made in her life. She earned the Timothy Award, the
highest honor in AWANA, when she was in the 6th grade. As a high school senior, she
just received a $2,000 scholarship to Dallas Baptist University for her work in Awana as
a child. How amazing!

We had an amazing team of leaders and directors this year. Around 70 people worked hard to serve in AWANA in various positions. What an amazing commitment to Kingdom service. One team stayed after each week and served with humble hearts as they reset the
worship center, which holds over 300 chairs. I want to take the time to appreciate their
service. Did you know that each week, all the chairs are taken up after Sunday Worship
services and put back after AWANA on Wednesday nights? This team does a job that
plays a major role in AWANA and our worship services. Are you looking for a way to
serve? We often call this the “chair team,” and they would love to have you join them
for their time of worship on Wednesdays after AWANA as they unstack chairs! Come to
AWANA Kick Off in August and join the Chair Team!

           

In conclusion, I just want to say thank you to each family, child, and leader for your hard
work and dedication in AWANA this year. Each of you made this year an incredible
year! Excited for the summer and for Kick Off in August for the 2026-2027 AWANA
year!
