Welcome! My name is Marshall Swift. I’m so glad you’ve chosen to check out Beaumont’s First Baptist Church! My official title here is Minister of Worship Technology, but the reality is I’m just a disciple of Christ looking to equip and deploy others into the kingdom for God’s glory. And though I grew up in Cleveland, TX, I have called Southeast Texas Home for the last 12 years.
At 26 years old I gave my life to Christ while working as a full-time educator and band director. Two years later I acknowledged and surrendered to the calling that God placed on my life to minister to His people. In the fall of 2020 I came on staff as a resident pastor of worship here at Beaumont’s First. In addition to my residency, I began the pursuit of my graduate degree in music and worship at Liberty University.
Being a professional sound engineer for the better part of the last fifteen years, the fall of 2022 would see me transition into my current roll as the Minister of Worship Technology. This roll allows me to focus my efforts primarily in the development and implementation of the teams, technology, and operations directly related to producing our worship services each week while still being privileged to lead worship from time to time.
In January of 2024 I married my beautiful bride, Ashleigh. Together we serve in worship, youth, and media ministries enjoying greatly the time we spend investing in the kingdom alongside one another. On a whim, in August of 2024 I kicked off my own YouTube channel where I document my journey as a tech minister and worship leader. I invite you to join me on that journey if worship, technology, or the occasional tomfoolery are of any interest to you.
My heart is full as I reflect on the blessings God has given me. My constant prayer is that God would continue to use myself, our staff, and the people of Beaumont’s First Baptist Church as His hands and feet to see His kingdom come and His will be done.
